Jad Choueiry
Jad Choueiry is a multi-talented Lebanese artist born in 1980. He showed an early interest for music and began performing on several special occasions and parties. Jad graduated from the prestigious ‘Sorbonne University’ in France where he specialized in Arts and Cinema Studies. Jad not only proved himself as a singer, songwriter and a composer but also as a director, perhaps one of the very unique directors.
In 2002, he participated in the famous Lebanese TV show ‘Studio El Fann’ and won the first prize for directing the music video ‘Ya Mustapha’, covered byReeda Butros.
However, Jad was after a singing career as this had always been his dream. Therefore, Jad’s ambition and determination led him to pursue his dream. His debut was ‘A’ollak Eih’ followed by hits like ‘Olly Ezay’, ‘Wareeny’, ‘Banadeelak’ and many more. His songs were controversial nevertheless; they were very successful hits and topped music charts.
Besides Jad’s musical career, Jad also directed more than 40 video clips and was behind the success of many young artists. The music videos which he directed include ‘Ghareebi El Denye’ for Nawal el Zoghbi and ‘Qalbi Wafi’ for Diana Haddad.
